Electro-Acoustics Systems Pte Ltd (EAS) is dedicated to integrating sustainability into our procurement processes across all business areas, including integration services, servicing and maintenance, project construction management, and distribution. This policy ensures that we balance traditional procurement priorities—such as price, quality, and reliability—with environmental and social considerations to reduce our environmental footprint and respect the rights and well-being of individuals, promoting sustainable practices throughout the supply chain.
Environmental Commitment
EAS is committed to reducing carbon emissions, promoting energy-efficient technologies, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and minimising waste across all stages of our supply chain. We prioritise suppliers who implement robust environmental practices, ensuring that the solutions we provide support sustainability.
We are committed to:
- Train 90% of procurement employees on environmental issues by 2026.
- Reduce carbon footprint by optimising logistics and combining shipments, when possible, to reduce emissions in our supply chain.
- Where possible, select suppliers who demonstrate a clear commitment to environmental stewardship, including adherence to environmental management standards and sustainable business practices.
- Where possible, use suppliers that hold environmental certifications such as ISO 14001, Energy Star and/or RoHS by 2026.
- Prioritise suppliers who design products for recyclability and low environmental impact throughout their lifecycle.
Social Commitment
We are equally committed to addressing the social impacts of our procurement activities, ensuring fair and respectful treatment of workers, and safeguarding human rights throughout our supply chain. This includes:
- Require suppliers to adhere to fair labour standards, including respect for workers’ rights to freely chosen employment, non-discriminatory hiring practices, and the prohibition of forced, bonded, or child labour.
- Require suppliers to comply with legal working hours and fair wages, ensuring workers are not subject to excessive hours and have adequate rest periods with wages that meet or exceed the legal minimum wage and are sufficient to cover basic living expenses, as stipulated by international labour standards and local labour laws.
- Expect our suppliers to provide a safe and healthy working environment for all employees, adhering to relevant health and safety regulations. Suppliers are expected to take proactive steps to prevent workplace accidents and to support the physical and mental well-being of their workers.
- Support and encourage diversity and inclusion within the workforce. Our suppliers must promote equal opportunities, ensuring that hiring, promotion, and compensation practices are based on merit without discrimination on the basis of gender, race, ethnicity, religion, age, or other protected characteristics.
Supplier Engagement
EAS values long-term relationships with suppliers. We actively engage with suppliers to ensure alignment with our sustainability goals and encourage continuous improvement and innovation in sustainability practices across the supply chain.
Alignment with United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
- Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production
- Goal 13: Climate Action
- Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals
